Big build concerns

CONCERNS have been raised in the local community about the suitability of the locations of two major housing developments planned for Hamilton.

The block next to the Ansett Transport Museum at 25-29 Ballarat Road, and a vacant block at 21 McMillan St near George St Primary School, have both been flagged for several dwellings to be built as part of the ‘Victoria’s Big Housing Build’ program.

The former has plans for 17 dwellings, whilst the latter has plans for seven; both sites include a mixture of one or two-occupancy buildings, mostly single-storey except for one double-storey dwelling at the front of the property.
