HAMILTON North Primary School has recently been equipped with an automated external defibrillator (AED) for use in an emergency at the school, and its use can potentially also save lives of those living and working nearby.

An AED is a machine that’s used to control heart fibrillation in cases where an individual is experiencing cardiac arrest – it can help restore a normal heartbeat by applying an electric current and sending an electric shock to the heart.
