Western Victorian gas supply secured 

WHILE some Victorians may have observed a weaker supply of gas when turning on their stove top recently, a notable lowering of gas pressure has not yet been observed in the Hamilton network by the western Victorian distributor, AusNet. Increased demand for gas across Victoria had risen sharply in recent days due to colder temperatures, triggering the Australian Energy Market Operator to urgently guarantee gas reserves on Tuesday night. THE supply of gas for Western Victoria has been secured following a decision by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) on Tuesday night to guarantee supplies due to high demand.
