Tarrington house fire lucky escape

WES Enderby of Tarrington was ever so grateful to be awoken by a stranger last Tuesday morning to alert him that his home was on fire. The man unknown to Mr Enderby and his wife, Loretta, assisted in subduing the flames before the Hamilton Fire Brigade arrived to douse the fire completely. The Enderby’s want to publicly thank the stranger who left the scene shortly afterward before being able to ask his name. Photo: GLENN GUY.

IT’S not every morning of the week that you’d be happy to be awoken at 6am to a stranger banging on your front door, but Loretta Enderby and her husband Wes, of Tarrington said they shall be eternally grateful for the unexpected awakening alerting them that their house was on fire.
