Wenlock House

TUCKED away behind green foliage and a picket fence is Wenlock House located at 7940 Hamilton Highway in Tarrington.

Wenlock House draws style inspiration from the Victorian period with 11-foot ceilings and walls adorned with contrast panelling that adds a feeling of quiet luxury.

The entrance hall is framed with fretwork that subtly transitions the entrance into the interior hallway which runs through the body of the house and maximises functionality and accessibility.

Immediately to the right of the entrance is a charming sitting area with a stone fireplace that is bathed in natural light entering through the bay windows.

Each of the three bedrooms in the home are furnished with built in wardrobes and are spacious in size.

The master suite is impressive with an ensuite bathroom, a statement stone fireplace, and a split system to keep the next owner comfortable no matter the weather.

Further down the hall, double French doors frame the entrance into the expansive living room.

With yet another fireplace, a split system, and outdoor blinds fitted on the exterior, options for climate management within living room are far from limited.

The living area adjoins to the kitchen that features a 900mm freestanding gas-stove cooktop, two pantries – one of which has power, and a double sink.

The main bathroom is divine in its charm and boasts the luxury of choosing between the free-standing claw foot bathtub situated underneath the window or the shower in the opposite corner – an inbuilt linen cupboard is just outside the bathroom entrance making it for convenient storage and accessibility.

The back room of the house also has a split system and has the capacity to be kept as a formal dining room or could be furnished as another living area.

Off the formal dining room is the home office that benefits from the natural light filtered from the undercover alfresco area at the rear of the home.

Featuring café blinds and overlooking the well-established garden, which includes a prosperous lemon tree, the undercover back veranda means that outdoor entertaining is a possibility all year round no matter the weather.

The laundry and separate toilet are accessible via the undercover veranda.

The laundry is a spacious room with a double laundry trough and the separate toilet, adding to the convenience of the outdoor area and functionality when hanging out the washing on the Hills Hoist that is tucked away in the corner of the back yard.

The property also boasts both a garden shed and a garage which means that vehicles and other personal effects can be protected and stored out of the seasonal weather.

Around a 10-minute drive from Hamilton, this home offers all of the comforts of a charming, well-established home.
