THERE’S nothing dunny about it … in happier times, the Glenthompson toilet block was a convenient stop with huge parking areas for truckies and even getting a good write-up on publictoiletsofvictoria.com. Now with its closure and works at the Dunkeld Visitors Hub also closing the toilet there, travellers on the Glenelg Highway may need to be aware of the alternatives for their comfort and convenience. THE closure of the brick toilet block on the highway at Glenthompson is proving problematic for passomg motorists, with many either unaware of the nearby facilities next to the swimming pool or disappointed to continue driving on (if travelling west) in hope to Dunkeld, only to find the toilets at the visitors hub closed as well.
