Aurora Australis in local sky 

LAST weekend, Hamilton locals and those in the southern Australian region were able to view the phenomenon, Aurora Australis. The aurora was an intense Kp-9 or G5 level storm, and widely visible to both the naked eye and cameras, providing for some spectacular images. Photo: SIMONE STEVENSON.
