Who is buying the Western District? 

REPORTED in The Spectator on May 15, this property on Chrome Road in Branxholme sold late last year to a subsidiary of Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd, and now three more properties in the Western District totalling over 450 hectares are known to have been similarly sold to subsidiaries of Hancock. RECENT confirmation of the purchase of more Western Victorian farmland by a subsisidiary of Gina Rinehart’s Hancock Prospecting is continuing to raise questions regarding her overall strategy in the district.
