Cancer diagnoses show importance of research

AFTER battling testicular cancer twice, Neil O’Donnell has developed an appreciation for Daffodil Day and is hoping the rest of the community can help in the fight against cancer.

Mr O’Donnell was a healthy and active 26-year-old, preparing to marry his then-fiancée, Jen, when he got the devastating diagnosis.

Days out from their wedding, Jen identified something that wasn’t right and pushed Mr O’Donnell to get it checked.

He had scans and was referred to a specialist, where he received the news that he had to act immediately.
