Penshurst fire destroys house 

EMERGENCY services responded to a serious house fire in Bell Street, Penshurst, at 7.58pm on Thursday night which left the house destroyed. A Country Fire Authority (CFA) Victoria spokesperson said eight CFA vehicles attended the scene and managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses. “It was under control at 9.01pm and a stop was put on it at 11.39pm,” they said.
