SAINT Francis of Assisi is believed to have begun the popular ‘Blessing of the Pets’ church service for people and their beloved animals over 800 years ago. BELIEVED to have originated around 800 years ago, globally, the trend to have an annual Blessing of the Pets service is growing in popularity, with the Anglican Church in Hamilton hosting a service this Sunday at 10:30am.
On Thursday April 30, Hamilton North Primary School held their cross country event at their school.
