Mobile black spots miss out 

THERE are still many areas of south-west Victoria without decent mobile phone coverage that are especially vulnerable and under threat of bushfires and floods, with both sides of the Federal divide accusing the other of ignoring rural and regional Australia, especially those that are at risk of bushfires and floods. The farming community of Mirranatwa is no stranger to such events and was eventually successful in 2015 in getting a mobile tower, after a long running campaign. IN many areas of south-west Victoria, operating a farm or small business, or doing homework, remains a struggle without proper mobile phone coverage, let alone for emergency service crews responding to natural disasters.
