Divided opinion on 60-day script dispensing

A RANGE of responses to the Federal Government’s new 60-day pharmacy dispensing policy have been forthcoming. Rural Doctors Association of Australia (RDAA) president, Dr Megan Belot (left) saw the changes as a positive for remote patients in rural areas not having to travel as often for medicines, but Pharmacy Guild president, Professor Trent Twomey (right) claimed it would lead to some free services being cut and many rural pharmacies closing.
