SHORT-TERM accommodation owners will cop a new 7.5 per cent levy to regulate rentals in Victoria – the only state to do so. The Opposition said this will hurt people trying to earn money on the side with extra rooms or bungalows in regional areas, especially along our popular coastal tourist spots and will drive tourists interstate.
