New oak for Botanic Gardens 

GATHERED for a special tree planting are members of the Friends of Hamilton Botanic Gardens with Grade 3/4 students from Gray Street Primary School. Local resident, Richard Mann (third from left) has very generously donated a mature chestnut-leaved oak, Quercus castaneifolia, which will grow into an enormous tree to complement the other oaks.
