Cavendish crushing it for over a century

THE Cavendish community has much to celebrate this year, kicking off with Australia Day that coincides with the centenary of the laying of the first brick of the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall. That will be followed by the Red Gum Festival in April, enabling strong community engagement. IT’S no wonder Cavendish has its own festival celebrating the magnificent river red gum, with the small township nestled on the banks of the Wannon River lined with these splendid, majestic trees.
