AFTER surviving a cardiac arrest earlier this year, Hamilton grandmother, Kaye Faulkner (middle) was thrilled to reunite with paramedics, Kirsten Walker and Joel Gilmore to bring awareness to Ambulance Victoria’s campaign, Shocktober. This month-long campaign highlights the importance of learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use an automated external defibrillator. As Kaye continues to recover, she is encouraging other locals to learn CPR. “If you know CPR, you would be able to help someone in need and also recognise when you need help yourself,” she said.
