Poet’s work lives on 

FAMOUS Australian poet, Adam Gordon Lindsay has a legacy that can be found in many places, including Coleraine where he rode in the Great Western Steeplechase and other races several times in the 1860s; the 1950 monument is just east of the town boundary on Glenelg Highway and marks the point in the race where he crossed the road. ADMIRERS of Adam Lindsay Gordon’s poetry have been called on to join a committee with the goal of raising the profile of and “keeping alive the memory of Australia’s national poet”.
