PENSHURST was not fazed to be on the road and pitted against the Mininera and District Football League reigning premier, Tatyoon, as the two sides met at Tatyoon Recreation Reserve with the Bombers raining goals all day long to claim victory, 20.19 (139) to 3.8 (26).

WESTERN Speedway is gearing up for its final race meeting for the season today, with a full program of VSC classes, backing up the Victorian Limited Sportsman Championship, which has been postponed several times this season, in part due to the unseasonable weather.

Goals galore in hockey contests 

THE forwards had a weekend dining out on some poor defence in round two of the Glenelg Region Hockey Association men’s and women’s division one games, with 41 goals netted across the six games played.

SIXTY-FOUR men participated in an aggregate stableford event, with father and son combination, Troy and Zac Elliott, taking out first place on a countback from George Mclean and Jan Kautsky, after both pairs scored 70 points.

No mercy shown in derby game 

HAMILTON KANGAROOS showed no mercy towards Cavendish in the round three derby match up in the Western Victoria Female Football League at Pedrina Park on Sunday, running out the game 31.20 (206) to 0.0 (0) winners.

GLENTHOMPSON-DUNKELD remains one of four undefeated teams in the Mininera and District Netball Association after the second round of the 2024 season.

Rams suffer narrow loss to Demons 

IT was supposed to be a triumphant first home game of the Mininera and District Football League 2024 season for Glenthompson-Dunkeld at Dunkeld Recreation Reserve on Saturday, but Lismore-Derrinallum didn’t follow the script and broke the Rams’ hearts with a one-point victory, 12. 7 (79) to 12.8 (80).
