BALANCED on a knife edge after first weekend, the Hamilton and District Cricket Association (HDCA) A grade grand final is still up for grabs with both teams seemingly having one hand on the trophy with a day left to play.

TAHARA has claimed back-to-back Hamilton and District Cricket Association B grade premierships after comfortably accounting for College by eight wickets at Clem Young Oval on Saturday.

IT has been a fruitful few weeks for a group of Hamilton Kangaroos juniors, with seven players involved in the new Hampden Football Netball League (HFNL) talent identification and development program, while one other junior is set for a stint in Greater Western Victoria (GWV) Rebels colours.

JOSH Miller is set for the big time, named in Warrnambool’s Big V side for tomorrow’s round one clash.

TAHARA and College will face-off in the Hamilton and District Cricket Association D grade decider, with the two games earlier in the season won by the home team on both occasions.

HAVING played in many HDCA C grade grand finals, Casterton District is yet to hold the JLC Young Shield as premier, and Grampians will be out to ensure it doesn’t happen this season either when the two teams face-off in the decider at PP1 this afternoon.

CLEM Young Oval will host a season decider again after several years without any grand final action, and the battle between minor premier, Tahara, and second-placed College is shaping up to be a thrilling finale to the Hamilton and District Cricket Association (HDCA) B grade season.
